I will be honest with all of you here. IN Octopus Traveler 2, Partitio is the character I add to the party when I’m in a town. I have him with me if I go shopping. (You know, for items that I can’t get more of through Throne’s five-finger discount.) I use him to hire people or buy items that the Throne can’t steal. He’s a good character with some great support potential! But from what I’ve experienced, he’s the most important when it comes to unlocking things like boatbar gramophoneAnd Merciful Manuscript.
How do you recruit Partitio in Octopus Traveler 2
if you don’t start with Partitio, then you will need to visit Oresrush to add this merchant to yours Octopus Traveler 2 party. Oresrush is right near Cropdale, where Agnea begins, and Ryu, where Hikari’s story begins.
How does Partitio work in Octopus Traveler 2
Sales in Octopus Traveler 2 is essentially a support role, with anyone holding the role using a bow and gun/spear as their only weapons. The abilities Partitio learns from this main role will do things like help allies, such as giving them BP, or increasing his own survivability.
Here are the skills for this job. Note that Bifelgan’s Bounty can only be learned after Partitio has learned all seven other skills.
- Arrow of Fortune: 12SP to deal arrow damage and gain extra JP depending on the amount of damage dealt.
- Rest: 0SP to restore HP, SP and heal.
- Collect: 2SP to get leaves from enemies.
- Ember: 7SP to deal single target fire damage.
- Give BP: 6SP to give allies 1BP (point gain).
- Sidestep: 10SP to dodge a physical attack once.
- Hired Help: 0SP to return a card that causes someone to appear to attack/buff/etc.
- Bifelgan’s Bounty: 30 SP to damage enemies and gain the corresponding amount in cards.
Partitio can also summon an NPC he hires to the scene to attack.
A lot of these skills are very useful! I recommend using Sidestep as soon as possible, as it’s great in boss battles. (After all, bosses usually announce their Big Attack.) Giving away SP has finally come in a lot more handy than I expected, so get that as soon as possible.
As for breaking his Latent Strength limit, Hoot and Holler will completely fill his HA. You can then use it to perform a stronger attack than usual. You can also use Donate BP to gift them to allies.
What about Partitio? Octopus Traveler 2 Action path?
This is where Partitio comes in really handy. Purchase is a great Daytime Path Action to get items. Especially if you used the Throne to steal whenever possible, meaning you have a good reserve of leaves. You can easily get important items from people’s inventory or special equipment better than those in the nearby store.
In addition, Partitio is also great when you shop often. This is because his Nighttime Hire Path Action is great for discounts. When he hires someone you will of course see how strong the new friend is and what kind of skills they will use after you summon them. However, their Trader Talent is the real winning deal here. You can get things like massive discounts or bonuses, usually based on a certain percentage, when Partitio hires a person and goes to the store. Awesome.
What side job is good for Partitio in Octopus Traveler 2
There are three great ways you can use Partitio with one Octopus Traveler 2 extra work. However, the ones I would suggest result in three different build types.
One is to go ahead and turn him into a fighter. Especially since he can heal himself and has abilities that allow him to dodge attacks. I Love the inventor job for him for this reason. It gives him access to sword and ax weapons. Plus, you get some cool additional attacks and buffs/debuffs.
Another way is to have fun and try turning him into a mage. The Partitio Scholar ends up working well, as you add a staff member to his weapon list and give him a range of elemental attacks that can defeat any enemy.
Finally, turn Partitio into a dancer in Octopus Traveler 2 is so much fun! You give him a knife when you do it. You also get a lot of support skills and some extra attacks that make him great at supporting allies and annoying enemies.
