The TIP Thoroughbred of the Year award recognizes a Thoroughbred who has excelled in a non-competitive profession, such as equine therapy or police work. The prize includes a $5,000 grant to a horse-related nonprofit or, if no horse-related organization exists, to an equine charity run by The Jockey Club choose. The TIP Young Driver of the Year Award recognizes young riders, 18 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2022, who own or lease a Thoroughbred for use in 4-H, Pony Club or other activities. other motion.
