I never understood how someone could neglect an animal. If you can’t care for the animal, then why take it in the first place? It’s selfish and I will never understand people who treat pets as commodities rather than living creatures.
We’ve seen a lot of cases of neglect, but perhaps one of the worst that happened was a little poodle named Ginger Bread.
Dr. Karri from Veterinary farm was the one who cared for the little poodle who was suffering from a terrible case of neglect.
Animal control contacted the vet, who asked if she could take on this tiny 5-pound poodle.
In addition to being skinny and underweight, the poor dog was completely filthy! She also had a rather strong odor and was infested with fleas. She was so understanding that it was a pity that the result was actually anemia! But the most shocking thing is that she is missing a jawbone!
Despite the suffering the little dog witnessed, she was incredibly sweet and immediately curled up in Dr. Karri’s arms when she saw her. That’s when the vet and her medical team knew they had to do everything in their power to get little Ginger Bread through.
After taking an x-ray, the results confirmed that Gingerbread had no jaw bone and due to untreated periodontal disease for a long time, she had lost all of her teeth at the top of her mouth. However, despite her dental problems, Ginger Bread can still eat – and she’s proven to be a foodie too!
With so much loving care, Ginger Bread has gone to great lengths to regain her full health and even found someone to care for her!
