Tides Favor Speedboat Beach in Cecil B. DeMille
After experiencing his first defeat in ninth place after intense speeding in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1T) at Keeneland, Speedboat Beach will be looking to get back on track with $100,000 in Cecil B. DeMille (G3T) Shares on Dec. Del Mar.
Although fractions aren’t as demanding as in the Teenage Turf Sprint lasting 5 and a half, on November 4, when the first quarter rolled in: 21.65, Cecil B. DeMille offered a hurdle another obstacle—running a distance of one mile. Speed Boat Beach has only sprinted in his three-race career.
He won his debut by racing 5 1/2 distances on the Del Mar main track with a 1:01.86 record and then won the Speakeasy Stakes, going 5/8 on the track . Santa Anita . Park Inner pitch: 55.25.

If Speed Boat Beach proves unable to maintain a one-mile distance from Cecil B. DeMille—the runner has drawn above-average speeds for a two-turn grass race—Ransomware , Game time and Zebun can demonstrate threats beyond speed.
Ransomware was the first winner of the race and distance on November 12 after a half-way defeat to Ze’bul in a six-race race when the two debuted on October 21 in Santa Anita. Ze’bul has not raced since.
