For the 2024-2025 ski season, Ikon Session Pass prices are:

  • Adult: $449 for four days, $379 for three days and $259 for two days
  • Skiers from 13 to 22 years old: $379 for four days, $319 for three days and $229 for two days

This pass gives you up to four days of skiing at 42 destinations, although blackout dates apply at all resorts. For an adult, this means between $112 and $130 per day, which may or may not be a bargain, depending on where you want to ski.

For example, at Steamboat last season, a one-day lift pass could cost up to $275, and a four-consecutive day lift pass could cost nearly $1,100. This makes the pass very valuable. If you’re an East Coast skier, you might not find that a good deal.

Remember that these are early bird prices. While we don’t know how long the current price will last, there will likely be a few more price increases until the sale expires, usually around November. We’ve never seen the price before lower than the time the card was first issued. So if you want to ski for less, lock your pass soon before the next price increase.

New for the 2024-2025 season

While there aren’t any surprising changes from Ikon, there are a few things to note.

To start, when you purchase a 2024-2025 Ikon Pass, you’ll receive two additional Friends & Family discounts for a total of 12 deals for next winter. These discounts provide up to 25% off the posted one-day lift ticket price for the discount date used at a qualifying Ikon Pass destination.

Those who purchase an Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass or Ikon Base Pass will also be able to take advantage of the benefits during the summer months; These passes will now come with a free bike park lift ticket at selected destinations. For those who like to spend their summers in the mountains, this is a great way to get more perks from your pass.

There are also many money-saving discounts from Ikon Pass partners, such as Under Canvas, Camp Woodward, Blenders Eyewear & Products, Ship Skis, Db Bags, F45 and The North Face. There are also discounts on heli-skiing and heli-hiking trips.

There have been some – though not many – changes to access rights. Crystal Mountain will now have unlimited access with the Ikon Pass, perfect for those living in or around Washington. Additionally, if the Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) is sold to Alterra Mountain (parent company of Ikon Pass), that could potentially change access. However, currently no information is known.

Additionally, reservations will still be required at select resorts for the 2024-2025 season.

Guarantee plan

Making expensive purchases and not knowing what the next season will bring can be a scary thought.

Luckily, Ikon still delivers “Confidence to Buy” Plan for the 2024-2025 season. This is the same package introduced over the past few years and is automatically included in the price of your lift ticket. This allows any pass holder to receive a credit for the price paid to apply to next year’s ski season (in this case the 2025-2026 ski season) for any reason without need to ask.

You will have until December 12, 2024 to choose this option. This is more than enough time to find out what the ski season will be like. Note: If you purchased a pass this spring and used it during the spring ski season, you will not be eligible for a credit.

Use a payment plan

Ski passes are a big investment. Luckily, there is one spending plan option for Ikon Pass if you want to lock in the current price and split payments equally.

You’ll make a $0 deposit and then have the option to spread payments over three, six or 12 months – just pay attention to the annual percentage rate. During the checkout process, you can see your options and the costs depending on the plan chosen.

If you pay in full, here it is Best credit cards to use to buy ski passes. Ski passes don’t always have codes under a specific bonus category, so bonus cards Bonus points for everyday purchases may be your best choice.
