This animal-loving artist takes pictures of dogs alongside their younger selves!

A creative animal lover named Mandy Helwege has a booming business designed around furry friends taking pictures. She wanted to create something special for the many dedicated pet parents out there, so she came up with a great idea!

Mandy’s journey to success began with an interesting idea for Great Dane’s Instagram page. She thought it would be adorable if photoshopped a picture of her Great Dane as a puppy next to his current self, creating a unique look into the past. The moment she shared the photo on her pet dog’s Instagram, her life changed.

Friends and family fell in love with Mandy’s photoshopped creations, and they requested personalized portraits of their dogs. Mandy thought this would just be a fun side project she loved from time to time, but word of her talent spread quickly on the internet.

Before she knew it, every month Mandy received dozens of requests from pet parents around the country. It all really started when a video of her work went viral TikToksent custom orders flooding her Instagram inbox.

“I was so overwhelmed when it went viral, because I posted it thinking, ‘Okay, if I can get 25 orders out of this, that would be great.’ I ended up with hundreds of Instagram direct messages, because that’s the way I used to take orders.” – Mandy Helwege

Mandy’s business has come a long way since she first started, but now she is filling hundreds of orders a month with the help of her full-time graphic artist staff. me. She requires a $10 deposit to keep your place on the waiting list, and when it’s your turn, her designs start at $125. People tell her she should raise her prices. because of her talent and the fact that no one is doing what she is, but she wants to make her work accessible to as many people as possible.
