The Zeekr X was revealed as the brand’s third model – an all-new EV crossover that’s bigger than the smart #1; from estimated RM127K
After a few teases, Zeekr has released its first official photos third model without any camouflage. Instead of being called 003, Geely’s electric vehicle arm has chosen to call its new product the Zeekr X, which is a bit of a surprise given that their first two models are called 001 And 009.
Details are limited at the moment, but Chinese media reports that the all-electric crossover will make its public debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April before going on sale this year – Expected starting price is from 200,000 yuan (RM126,560).
Built on Geely’s Scalable Electrical Architecture (SEA) also used by smart #1, X measures 4,450 mm long, 1,836 mm wide and 1,572 mm, with a wheelbase stretched to 2,750 mm. Although the overall length is longer than previously expected, the X’s wheelbase is identical to the #1. It is also 180 mm longer and 14 mm wider, although the height is reduced by 64 mm.
In terms of styling, the X certainly impresses with its distinctive LED daytime running lights similar to those found on the 009. The daytime running lights are part of a two-stage lighting system, with the main headlights (with projection technology). matrix light ) placed next to the camera on the closed “grill”.
Meanwhile, the vertical spoilers at the sides of the bumper are accompanied by an additional black border and extend towards the trapezoidal air intakes in the lower bumper. The bonnet also has prominent creases, as well as the sides of the body with black body panels.
You’ll also notice the curious perch points of the rearview mirror and the sweeping border on the thick C-pillars. Moving towards the rear, the roofline gently slopes down towards the roof spoiler and the windows are quite vertical, the rear window is connected to the full-width taillights at the feet. Other elements are the apron below which resembles a diffuser and a vertical reflector that simulates what you see in the foreground.
Based on spy shots, the X’s dashboard is designed in a minimalist style, with an almost vertical dashboard housing a small digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system. . The center console between the front seats is separate from the center stack and has an armrest and storage compartment.
Reports suggest that the X will have the same powertrain options as the #1, with single-engine, rear-wheel drive and dual-motor, all-wheel drive. Power output ranges from 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) to 428 PS (422 hp or 315 kW) and the battery will likely have an energy capacity of 66 kWh.
