Stephen’s Curry ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said he is expected to miss the All-Star break in mid-February because of a left leg injury.
The combatant said on Sunday that Curry had partially torn the superior tibialis ligament and the fascia and would miss Monday’s game against the US team. thunderbut “additional clarity on the potential timeline will be established in the coming days.”
Curry was injured with 2:01 remaining in the third inning of last Saturday night’s win Mavericks after his left knee collided with the Dallas guard McKinley Wright IVhis while Curry was protecting him.
The Mavericks called the timeout, and Curry immediately limped to the bench, where he met the team’s two coaches. They checked on him during the timeout, and when the players returned to the field to resume play, Curry limped back to the dressing room. He was X-rayed, which came back negative, the team said Saturday.
Curry was then eliminated for the rest of the match. He finished with 21 points on a 7/11 shot with seven assists.
Curry hit that knee in the second half of Golden State’s game against Denver nuggets on Thursday night. Coach Steve Kerr said Saturday night he wasn’t sure if Curry’s injury against Dallas was affected by that.
This will be Curry’s second extended absence this season. He missed 11 compound games in December and January because of a dislocated left shoulder. During that time, the Warriors led 6-5.
