The price of Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022 skyrocketed

Price for 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is going up on the board. Depending on the style, the price could be at least $1,000 higher than before or $2,000 higher.

Ford didn’t officially announce this price change in a flashy press release, but CarsDirect reported last week that the increase is coming, and we only noticed the new pricing on Ford configurations to confirm the news. Below, you’ll find new starting prices for all Mach-E versions and the amount that goes up on top of the initial price of Ford’s 2022 model announced earlier this year.

Select RWD: $44,995 (up $1,000)
Choose AWD: $47,695 (up $1,000)

Premium RWD: $50,200 (up $1,000)
Premium AWD: $52,900 (up $1,000)
Premium RWD Extended Battery Option: $56,200 (up $2,000)
Premium AWD extended range battery option: $58,900 ($2,000 increase)

California Line first RWD: $53,875 (up $2,000)
California Route 1 AWD: $56,575 (up $2,000)

GT: $63,095 (up $2,000)
Performance GT: $69,095 (up $2,000)

If you get your Mach-E 2022 right before this pretty hefty price hike, consider yourself lucky. It’s rare that we see any model gain this much in the middle of the year, but here we are. All that said, this price increase pales in comparison to the dizzying price increase we have seen from Tesla Model Y in the last year. Compared to the beginning of 2021, Model Y Long Range is almost $10,000 higher today. And not, Tesla did not release any significant updates along with the price increase.
