When Allison Miller shared a video of her blind dog Kida, going to the park, people couldn’t help but be amused.
The video that is currently going viral shows the Great Pyrenees enjoying the breeze from his face while driving in a car. Suddenly, she seemed to realize that they were not just walking around town, but going somewhere very special.

In an interview with DodoMiller shared that she adopted Kida when the puppy was just 5 months old.
Apparently, Kida’s previous owner bought her as a guard dog for the chickens. As an untrained puppy, Kida tried to chase and eat the chickens and the owner decided to surrender to her rather than train her. All goes well as Allison’s world revolves around Kida and the dog is clearly living his best life.
While Kida is blind now, she was not born that way. In fact, when Allison adopted Kida, she had both eyes and good eyesight! Sadly, she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and had to have both eyes removed.
It was a step backwards, but nothing Kida and Allison couldn’t overcome together. Kida may not have eyes now, but she clearly still loves life and lives it to the fullest, with regular outings and plenty of playtime.
Speaking to The Dodo, Allison explained that she has a collar with a bell for her to put on other dogs when Kida is around. It allows Kida to hear other dogs and sense where they are, so they can play!
“I still think it’s crazy that so many people are watching the video! I really enjoy being able to help people realize that animals with ‘disabilities’ can still live an incredible life,” said Allison.
It’s safe to say she’s doing it and showing the world that true love is blind.
