Senior dog named Betty White is looking for a new home after being taken to a shelter

Saratoga County Animal Shelter hoping to find a senior dog named after beloved actress and animal advocate, Betty White, a forever loving home.

The 10-year-old boxer spent 382 days in a shelter before she found a loving home in 2020. Sadly, through no fault of her own, she was returned to her home.

Shelter posted, “Her father is sick and needs our help. That’s not what Betty did. In fact, all she did was give him comfort and love, and he did the same to her. But she has returned to the shelter and is hoping to find that perfect person again.”

As the world remembers and honors human Betty White on her 100th birthday, the shelter is looking for a home for her sweet and quirky name.

They started their own Betty White Challenge, encouraging people to share pictures of the adorable dog to help Betty find a permanent home.
