The best contour makeup for all skin tones
Another thing I found frustrating when I first started learning how to contour was the lack of information on how to contour for darker skin tones. I find that I can’t use contour makeup like people with lighter skin tones because it doesn’t show up very well for me or doesn’t look right. Moore also has a few tips for this.
“KINGnow what’s the difference between bronzing and contouring,” he said. These two work together but are different. Use a slightly warmer and deeper shade to warm the skin by shading. Your contour should appear next and should be two to four colors darker than your background color (whatever color you feel comfortable with) and go into the shadow areas of your face, then blend . It is important to know the lighting of the event you will be attending. If you are going out to the beach or to a festival, the bronzing should be good enough, however, if you are going to a gala or a drink and it is a light at night, you can agree and rim.”
Of course, it’s each person’s personal choice of what contour makeup they prefer—whether it’s cream, stick, powder, you name it. But Moore prefers to use one specifically for darker skin tones. “I like to use creams – something light and easy to blend. You can also do the same with liquids. I find that light creams give you more control and are easier to blend. I I also recommend taking a creamy powder and setting it lightly.”
