Tesla Wants $15,000 for the Model WEAR Plaid Performance Pack

Despite what you may think of Tesla, you must admit that Pattern plaid pretty wild: 1,020 hp, time 1.9 seconds 0-60 mph, one drag strip moderecord setting Nurburgring lap times. It’s a supercar from six-EV figure. However, the biggest problem with the Plaid was that it was missing brake and tire parts, both of which keep the model from reaching its full potential. Apparently Tesla knows this and has come up with a remedy in the form of a Performance pack for Model S Plaid. But it will cost you.

In case you lost it:

Available for purchase through the Tesla store on the company’s website or through the company’s app, you’ll receive a set of high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes.performance brake pads, “monitor-ready brake fluid, Front tire Goodyear Supercar 3R size 285/35R20 and rear tire Goodyear Supercar 3R 305/30R20. And as always, the company makes some big claims about the package’s capabilities. Mostly that’s it it opens up to a top speed of 200 mph:

Engineered for the ultimate racing experience, the Model S Plaid Track Pack offers high-speed stability, maximum cornering force and repeatable stopping during high-performance driving. time unlock top speed 200 mph.

The Track Pack includes forged aluminum wheels, race-ready tires and brake fluid, a new carbon-silicon carbide rotor and a one-piece forged caliper with high-performance spacers.

Our rotors feature continuous fiber technology and are built in a unique 3D matrix for more power and more efficient heat management. For added durability, a ceramic friction layer covers the entire rotor surface to reduce brake dust, corrosion and wear and improve pedal feel in everyday driving.

Interestingly, Tesla allows the purchase of carbon ceramic brakes as a standalone option if you don’t care about the tires. With Tesla’s history of making big claims that may or may not come true$15,000 to $20,000 is a big ask for the brakes and tires that should have come with the car right out the gate. And oddly enough, Tesla offered no explanation as to why there was a $5,000 difference in the cost of the package. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens when The owner of the plaid buys the pack and puts it to the test.
