Tenet Healthcare appoints Sun Park as CFO
Tenet Healthcare Corp. appointed Sun Park as the next CFO, effective January 1.
Park will serve as executive vice president from July 11 to December 31 before moving into the role of CFO, the Dallas-based for-profit system said in a news release Friday. Since 2018, Park has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for strategic global sourcing and pharmaceutical distribution at AmerisourceBergen. He joined AmerisourceBergen in 2012 to lead the pharmaceutical giant’s strategy and development.
Park replaces Daniel Cancelmi, who announced his retirement in January at the end of the year. Cancelmi, who became CFO in 2012, joined Tenet about 30 years ago.
In April, Tenet reported a strong start to the year with first-quarter net income of $143 million, or $1.32 per share, compared with $140 million, or $1.28. per share, during the same period last year. The system raised the 2023 financial outlook for adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA, by $50 million.
