Synthesize portraits with AI-generated images
At this point, I’ve been delving into AI for a while, and I’ve integrated it into my life where I can. Nowadays, I use ChatGPT 4.0 instead of Google, although I have also experimented with AI image generation over the past few years. In 2021, I noticed an artist that was selling exceptionally well, and there was something about this person’s work that bothered me. They’re pseudonyms and never reveal their faces, so for all intents and purposes, they’re anonymous, but it’s the style of the pictures that annoys me.
After a few months I realized they had early beta access to the AI visualization engine (maybe it’s Midjourney, but I believe it’s something else) and they’ve honed their reminders for a consistent style. This was before the AI boom so no one really knew what to look for and this person was capitalized. Since that time, I’ve often wondered how I could use AI in my photography without it generating the whole image — simply enhancing the work I’ve already done. Well, Aaron Nace at PHLEARN gives you a good example in this video.
