It is official.
Josh Taylor will fight former lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez on June 10.lame pants at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City. This is an interesting match. Neither guy has looked so hot in the ring lately, but no one can deny that each man has legitimate talent. After all, Taylor beat Regis Prograis, while Lopez beat Vasyl Lomachenko. It was no small feat for either man to achieve. It will be interesting to see how these two go up against each other in the ring.
“You never had the guts to come here tonight and face me,” Taylor teased Lopez during a video session of ESPN’s Shakur Stevenson-Shuichiro Yoshino card. With that said, the two men will have twelve rounds to face each other when they meet in June. Perhaps the best news of all is that the fight is unlikely to be a pay-per-view event. That’s a rarity in today’s expensive boxing era. Indeed, Lopez himself has stated that he wants the match to take place upstairs in Madison Square Garden’s main arena. Maybe in the rematch
