Do you fancy yourself as a professional padel player? Well, Volvo Car Malaysia invites you to participate in the Volvo Padel Open, which will be Malaysia’s first official and largest padel tournament. With the participation of over 500 padel players, the tournament will be organized in cooperation with all padel courts in the Klang Valley, specifically ASCARO Padel & Social Club, Padelground and PadelKu.

With prizes worth up to RM100,000 up for grabs, Register from now until May 24, 2024 to book for a one-time fee of RM200 per team. If your group includes at least one Volvo owner, you will enjoy a special price of only RM100. Interested padel players can enter one of three categories, including Intermediate, Open and Women, each with different prizes for champions and runners-up.

Ahead of the tournament’s finals, there will be training sessions for those in the Open and Women’s categories held at all three venues from June 1 to 2, 2024, followed by qualifying Open from June 8 to 9, 2024. from the Open qualifiers will join the Intermediate and Women’s categories to compete for glory and prizes at the grand final taking place on June 15, 2024 in ASCARO Padel & Social Club.

If you’ve never heard of padel before, it is the fastest growing sport in the world, attracting more than 25 million players across 110 countries. Volvo’s home country of Sweden is no exception, with hundreds of thousands of Swedish players participating in the sport.

Before introducing the Volvo Padel Open, Volvo Car Malaysia had already championed the sport when it hosted the first Koppla sports event last year – a padel-friendly tournament for Volvo owners – in Malaysia’s first padel club hails from Sweden, ASCARO Padel & Social Club, as a testament to the growing popularity of padel here.
