Stokes Environment Agency Fear of flooding – Frustrated with that?

Repost from NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW IT

By Paul Homewood

The Daily Express is famous for its fake weather apocalypse warnings, powered by Exacta Weather, over the past few years – there’s always been heatwaves, blizzards, hurricanes or floods just around the corner.

The only problem is that they never arrive. This has long been a source of joy among Express readers.

However, under its new, awakened, left-wing editor, Gary Jones, the Express launched its Green Britain Campaign. This week it features fake apocalyptic warnings not from clowns in Exacta but clowns at the Met Office and the Environment Agency:

Some winters are wetter than average and others are not. But climate change has nothing to do with it.

If we analyze the rainfall records from November to January, we can see no such trend at all:

The Met Office has specifically mentioned the November-January period, as this is an important determinant of winter flooding. February is generally a dry month, so the traditional winter period from December to February is less significant. In addition, the total rainfall up to the beginning of winter is also an important factor in the severity of subsequent floods.

It is irresponsible for the Met Office and the Environment Agency to name this rubbish. Especially when it’s clearly political.

As for the idea that 1.5 million homes could be flooded, this is an absolute hysteria, calculated to bring the masses into submission. Even in the worst years, floods never affect more than a few thousand homes, most of which are built on floodplains.

Flooding is a terrible thing for everyone involved, but from a widespread nationwide point of view it is nothing more than a nuisance. It is despicable to deliberately deceive the millions of people who could be flooded.
