Square Enix reveals plans for Dragon Quest X in 2023
A game of many Dragon Quest Fans in the West would love to see the local Switch release Dragon Quest. While there’s been no mention of localization, there seems to be a year-end update on the current version, specifically for Japan.
In an interview with Famitsu (via Siliconera), Square Enix has apparently hinted at the possibility of “new content” for the massively multiplayer online game that first launched in 2012 on the Nintendo Wii. It’s unclear exactly what to expect at this stage, but at least it’s a reminder that the company remains committed to the project.
Square Enix also released Dragon Quest X Offline on Nintendo Switch in September. Unfortunately, this isn’t localized either. However, there is a demo available for download from the Japanese eShop.
