Atlus shared a new story and character details regarding Soul Hackers 2. This includes information about the three characters who will be integral to the story, along with details about the “Covenant” and a secondary organization known as Yatagarasu. As shared before, Soul Hackers 2 will star Ringo, a new protagonist of the series. Both Ringo and Figue have appeared to prevent the destruction of humanity. This was suggested during the Atlus . period teasing Soul Hackers 2. Ringo and Figue must protect a particular individual to prevent the fall of humanity.
However, Ichiro Onda, whom Figue had to protect, was killed. He was murdered by two mysterious figures known as the Iron Mask and Zenon. Both Iron Mask and Zenon belong Ghost guild, whose core motive is to control the Covenant. Their goal was to obtain all the Covenants that would summon an entity of great power. Most of the agents of the Phantom Association harbor a great hatred for the world.
The Yatagarasu Organization took it upon themselves to protect the Covenants to prevent this from happening. This organization is interested in protecting the “spirit” of Japan. It accepts any in its organization and is completely independent. Yatagarasu is related to the clan of the late Demon Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha.
Soul Hackers 2 releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and computer on August 25, 2022 in Japan and globally on August 26, 2022.
