Sime Darby Motors enters Indonesian market for BMW, MINI brands with PT Performance Motors Indonesia
Sime Darby has entered the Indonesian passenger car market with PT Performance Motors Indonesia, a joint venture between Sime Singapore, a subsidiary of Sime Darby and the Galeon Group. PT Performance Motors Indonesia enters Jakarta and Medan with two dealers representing the BMW and MINI brands, according to the company statement.
The opening of locations in Jakarta and Medan will be the starting point for Sime Darby Motors’ growth into the Indonesian market, and will expand to other provinces in Java and Sumatra as the BMW Group aims to expand further. in Indonesia.
Founded over 22 years ago, BMW Indonesia Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW AG and welcomes Sime Darby Motors to the BMW Indonesia Group dealer network and partnership with The Galeon Group is a clear sign of confidence in BMW Group Indonesia President Ramesh Divyanathan given the group’s presence in Indonesia as well as the two brands’ strong sales performance in this market.
