When it came time to brainstorm brand new content for Shredder’s Revenge, we immediately wanted to add something new to complement the fast-paced arcade gameplay we’ve created.
A new survival mode like Krang’s empty android body: no doubt! We already know that fans want it, but it’s clear that survival mode will become a new arena for multiplayer fun. A mode where players can go in and out, battle new enemies, collect exotic powers, and explore new worlds.
What’s happening?
Interrupting a pizza party, Dimension X’s most powerful rebels – Neutrino – call for the Turtle’s help. FootClan has stomped all over the dimension and only mutant fighters can stop them! Always ready to crush the bad guys, the Tortoise agrees to halt the party and plunge into the multiverse melee.
In Dimension Shellshock’s new survival mode, Turtles battle across the worlds to collect shards to assemble dimension crystals. Once assembled, the multiverse gems allow the ferocious reptile to travel deeper into the dimensions to confront Shredder.
Entering the space duels, you will fight in many different arenas, confronting enemies both old and new.
After collecting enough crystals, you will be able to fight Shredder in the void. If you can beat him, you’ll either return home to Neutrino or be given the option to continue fighting past the toughest challenge: rising to the top of the leaderboard.
Combat Tool
Survival mode is not a walk in the multidimensional park: Players will face more than 100 unique combat challenges including countless waves of different enemies, each challenge adapted for one player or multiplayer.
Watch out for new Foot Soldier variants – armed with punitive weapons – looking to make turtle soup for you!
For ferocious warriors, mastering waves of enemies’ attacks has become even more difficult: The True Race has released soldier variations, and as a result, your enemies will evolve to become tougher versions of themselves.
The Vacuum Soldiers are not the only obstacle on the way to the Shredder. The Foot Clan’s multiverse travel makes the dimensions vulnerable to extreme conditions. Strong winds can send you flying straight into enemy hands while low gravity can allow you to jump higher than before. Watch out for danger from above: Crystallized stalactites shoot straight into the ground, threatening to break your shell if you’re not careful.
Privileges and entertainment
If you are strong enough to defeat an entire party, two reward portals will appear. Both lead you to the next battle but also offer game-changing bonuses. You can be given useful pizzas for your ailing ninjas, large amounts of shards, or even mysterious rusty boxes. If you choose to ooze, you gain access to special mutant perks that transform your hero.
Will you make your hero faster by choosing the Turbo Teen perk? Become a Rude Dude, double your attack power but risk double damage? You can even pick up the Boss Mutant perk, which turns you into a Bebop, Rocksteady, or even a nefarious Shredder for a few rounds!
The aptly titled Dimensional Shellshock survival mode: Your Dimensional Adventure starts with your basic abilities and just one life! Assembling new crystals becomes the only way to get more life energy, increase your Ninja Power bar, add precious lives but also have the ability to choose your preferred challenge level.
Across the Multiverse
The new game mode goes beyond the usual campaign levels to become a carousel of arenas, inspired by TMNT’s rich history. You will begin your journey in an Edo space inspired by Usagi Yojimbo, jump into an 8-bit battlefield and fight through Omnichannel 6 and beyond!
You may start to feel homesick, but old friends and some enemies have followed to cheer your victory or welcome your defeat.
Creating Shredder’s Revenge was a lifelong dream and the culmination of all of our careers at Tribute Games. We are very proud to have the opportunity to return to the well and add to Turtle’s video game legacy.
