When are we? relaunch the RPS support program at the end of June, one of the benefits of being a paid subscriber is regular free game keys, curated by RPS staff. Today, we announce one of the next game keys that will be available to current paying subscribers: The Darkest Dungeon, the subtle gothic roguelike is also one of the Favorite role-playing game All Time.
Darkest Dungeon is a challenging, turn-based RPG that sees you send an expedition team into increasingly gruesome dungeons to fend off increasingly gruesome aging monsters. It started working in early access in 2015 and we love it so much that it quickly became one of the favorite game of 2016 when it comes out in full. It has since added a bunch of equally great DLC, a Free PvP modeand create a sequel, Darkest Dungeon 2, launched on the Epic Games Store just a few weeks ago. Now, you can see all the fuss going on by requesting a copy of the original.
Buying Darkest Dungeon today will cost £18.99 / €22.39 / $25.87 through Steam or GOG, but it will be freely available to those who subscribe to the paid RPS above Thursday, November 11.
This key drop is a bit different than the ones we’ve done before, that’s why we’re announcing this time in advance. It’s a smaller, beginner key drop, so the code will only be available in limited quantities and we want to make sure everyone has an equal chance of getting one to avoid disappointed.
These keys have been provided by the developers of Darkest Dungeon, Red Hook Studios, and they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 4pm GMT (8am Pacific Time) on 11/11 – so make sure you are near your phone or PC at the time to confirm your copy. I will also write another reminder on that very day.
If you’re already a premium supporter, you’ll be able to claim your copy of Darkest Dungeon by logging into your ReedPop ID and going to the Codes page on your account. You can then start Steam, click “Activate a Steam Product…” and copy in your key to start the download.
