2023 Modenas Z650 naked sports in Malaysia, priced at RM 34,500 and RM 35,200, 2-year unlimited km warranty
monitor 650 . versionthe Malaysian midsize motorcycle market saw the introduction of the naked sports Modenas Z650 2023. There are two variants offered, the Z650 in Sparkling Metallic Black priced at RM34,500 and the Graphene/Steel Gray color option. Matte metallic is priced at RM35,200.
Bringing the Z650 up to date with market specs is the addition of Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). This gives the user three selectable modes, including an “off” mode along with three ride modes – Sport, Road and Rain – while the lighting system has been upgraded to full LED light kit, including new headlight design.
All other specifications remain the same, with the previous generation 649 cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled Kawasaki engine being carried over. Power is rated at 68 PS at 8,000 rpm with 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm, going through a six-speed gearbox and ultimate drive by chain to the rear wheels.
The new full-color TFT-LCD dashboard displays all the necessary information and comes with connectivity to the driver’s smartphone as standard. Using the Kawasaki Rideology app, riders can manage incoming calls or messages with notifications displayed on the screen.
The front suspension is done with a 41 mm diameter telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. In terms of brakes, twin 330 mm discs on the front wheel are clamped by two-piston calipers while the rear wheel has a single-piston caliper and 220 mm disc, while dual-channel ABS is standard equipment.
The weight of the Z650 is listed as 188 kg with a 14 liter fuel tank while the saddle height is set at 790 mm. Every Modenas motorcycle comes with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance.
