Shakira has once again sparked sentimental rumors – this time with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. In May, the 46-year-old singer was spotted on a boat in Miami with the 38-year-old racer, according to TMZ, and over the weekend the two reunited in Barcelona after Shakira watched the Spanish Grand Prix.
On Sunday night, Shakira and Hamilton had dinner with friends to celebrate Hamilton’s second-place finish earlier in the day. Their friend Mustafa the Poet shared a group photo on his Instagram Story, which shows Hamilton putting his arm around Shakira’s waist.
Shakira also posted a snap of herself at the race, writing: “Great to be back in Barcelona!”
Funny enough, just the other day, Hamilton jokes that he needs to find himself again a “Latina” while talking to his Mercedes teammate George Russell on stage. “You’ve been single for too long. We need to find you one,” Russell told him.
According to a June 8 report from People, the pair are keeping things “fun and flirty”. A source told the publication: “They are spending time together and are in the ‘get to know you’ phase.” Representatives for Shakira and Hamilton did not respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.
Since announcing her split from soccer player Gerard Piqué last year, Shakira was also recently linked to actor Tom Cruise after they were spotted hanging out at the Miami Grand Prix. However, a source has denied the rumors, telling Us Weekly in a May 10 report that Shakira has “no interest in dating” him. “Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1, but she has no interest in dating him,” the insider added. “He’s really nice and she enjoys his company, but she’s not focused on dating him or anyone else at the moment. She has a lot of work to do and right now. Currently focusing on children and career.”
In October 2022, Hamilton – who previously dated Nicole Scherzinger – revealed that he is single and focused on his career. “I’m not in a relationship, I don’t have children, my car is my baby,” he told The Independent at the time.
