In the latest episode of Entering the Shade Room, rapper and songwriter Rich The Kid is opening up about his upcoming album, his thoughts after Takeoff’s death, and his collaboration with veteran artist Lil Wayne. The rapper is also very transparent when it comes to his relationship with his fiancée and the mother of one of his children, Tori Brixx, with host Thembi.
The 30-year-old New York-born rapper, raised in Atlanta, is best known for his 2017 hit single, “New Freezer,” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Since then, he’s released a total of six studio projects, including a joint album with the aforementioned New Orleans Cash Money native. In addition to his musical achievements, the rapper also attracted public attention with his years-long romance with his fiancée Tori Brixx. According to HipHopDX, the rapper questioned Brixx in December 2019.
However, the love story of this couple has many times encountered opposition from the public. According to AllHipHop, a woman allegedly denounced the rapper for not paying her $35,000 in “hush money” to keep Rich’s pregnancy a secret. After the allegations went public, Rich The Kid apologized to his fiancée via Instagram. Now, the rapper is sharing more about the pair’s relationship, the meaning behind his apology, and how he plans to move forward with Brixx.
Rich The Kid Talks About His Apology To Tori Brixx
The rapper’s apology to his fiancée has now been removed from his Instagram account. However, AllHipHop issued an apology to the rapper in a recently published report.
“I would like to publicly apologize to my best friend, lover and fiancé for any disrespect, disloyalty or accusations. I’m a grown man, I’ve done wrong, and I’m confessing and asking forgiveness from a strong, beautiful woman who took care of not only me but our whole family. for many years… I’m not like these people [others]… I know I was wrong and will correct it, love you @toribrixx, I’m so sorry.”
In a conversation with Thembi, the rapper explained that “all men make mistakes”. Then also shared that it was “not without gag money” related to the alleged events.
Additionally, Rich The Kid explains more about his public apology to Brixx.
[I was] Sorry of course – you know, this happened publicly. Of course, I’m sorry for making her go through that… I have to apologize to my wife publicly because that’s what it was. public.”
The rapper is “fighting” for his family with Brixx
The rapper explained that a wedding to Brixx is still planned. However, the couple is currently “building a family”.
“I am fighting for my family… [you] have to work hard for what you want. She is definitely my family. We’ve been together for six years…”
Furthermore, the rapper explained that he finds himself with her “for the rest of his life”.
“I definitely find myself with her for the rest of my life. I would be a fool if I did anything else.”
