Senate blocks Biden’s clean truck rules, no Feinstein vote

The vote was tilted in favor of partisans in the equally divided Senate, with all Republicans voting in favor of scrapping the stricter emissions rules. There has been little change in the composition of the Senate since a group of senators put pressure on Biden in 2021 to begin. gradually giving up on selling petrol cars. California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, a longtime clean vehicle advocate and part of that group, do not vote and that essentially allowed the measure to pass.

It’s not over yet, though. Biden is said to have threatened to veto the law, which would require a two-thirds majority to pass. That is unlikely with the current Senate composition.
