The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have teamed up to present a co-hosted event at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, for the second year in a row as the year’s final major tournament looms. The 2023 Scottish Open will be held on a field split evenly between the two tours as some of the best players in the game will finish their final job before attending the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will make an early trip to Scotland. In the midst of a streak of 18 consecutive top 12 finishes — including six consecutive top five finishes — since the fall of 2022, Scheffler’s record will be challenged on an association golf course. Having missed his chance to debut last year, the Texan will be aiming for a better result.

He is joined in the field by world No. 3 Rory McIlroy, who has his eye on Royal Liverpool, where he won the Open in 2014. Patrick Cantlay and Viktor Hovland are also gearing up for events. final step for The Open as defending champion Xander Schauffele looks for his first win of the year.

Max Homa, Matt Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth make it to a total of eight of the top 10 players in the world serving the ball. US Open champions Wyndham Clark and resurgent Rickie Fowler eagerly add to their list of 2023 winners while Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas hope to make it to the list.
