Save up to $60 on your next Marriott stay (plus a chance to earn 7,500 bonus points) with these new Amex Deals

One of the best options to save money and even earn some bonus points for buying a variety of varieties is to take advantage of the offers on American Express Credit Card.

It’s time for your test Amex Offers on your different cards to save for your next one Marriott Bonvoy stay. On both personal and business cards, there are some hot deals available that you can use to save on your 2023 travel.

In addition, you can be targeted for a certain number of bonus points on spending on all purchases.

Let’s take a closer look at these offers and their terms.

Current Marriott Amex offers

Currently, there are three variations of the Amex Offer for Marriott stays or Marriott rewards points on spending.

The first offer gives you a one-time $60 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $300 on one or more room rate and room fee purchases at participating Marriott properties in United States and its territories, the Caribbean, Canada and Mexico from January 1, 10 and 31 March. Many TPG employees have found this offer on Platinum Card® from American Express.

The second offer gets you 20% back on purchases, up to a total of $50 — and it appears to be only available on Amex business cards. You’ll get 20% back as a statement credit by using your registered eligible business card for rate and room rate purchases at participating Marriott properties in the US United States and territories of the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean from January 10 to March 31.

TPG staff saw this offer on both Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card and Blue Business® Plus credit card from American Expressso check all your Amex business cards for this offer.

Note that neither of these offers include the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Edition, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, JW Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club, Design Hotels, Protea Hotels by Marriott, Marriott Executive Apartments, Homes & Villas by Marriott International, and Vistana. Offer also excludes gift card purchases and points purchases.

However, the third offer is not exclusive to Marriott purchases. Instead, you can earn a one-time bonus of 7,500 Marriott Bonvoy points for spending $2,000 or more on your registered eligibility Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card before March 31st.

Since you earn at least 2 Marriott points for every dollar you spend on Bonvoy Business Amex, that means you’ll take home a total of 11,500 Marriott points ($96.60 worth based on that) Valuation of TPG) by spending exactly $2,000 on the card. That equates to earning 5.75 points for every dollar.

It’s worth perusing the offers pages of your various American Express cards to see if you’re eligible for these targeted offers – although keep in mind that offers are triggered by a charge to your credit card, not your actual date of stay. So if you check in on March 31st, but your card isn’t charged until you check out, you won’t be eligible for these offers as they expire on March 31st. .

Additionally, American Express generally only allows you to earn these offers on one American Express card per account holder (including authorized users). While you can add offers to multiple American Express cards in some cases, you may find that American Express will reverse your statement credit if you redeem the offer more than once.

That said, it appears that the $60 offer and the 20% discount are considered separate offers, as multiple TPG employees can add them to a single Amex account.
