Save money on hotel stays in Europe with this discounted subscription service

Travelers who accumulate points and miles often favor typical loyalty programs over subscription models.

However, Paris-based Accor has an offer that’s pretty hard to pass up — even if you don’t normally sign up for one of the company’s 40+ hotel brands. company’s recent global expansion of the ALL Plus program Now comes with 20% discount. It’s easy to earn back while upgrading the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program ladder.

The promotion, which runs from Thursday to May 2, cuts the price of the ALL Plus Ibis card to 79 euros (about $87) from its original price of 99 euros (about $109). The more comprehensive ALL Plus Voyageur card drops to 159 euros (about $176) from the original 199 euros ($220).

While the subscription lasts 12 months after purchase, the loyalty benefits accrued from your ALL Plus purchase (eligible nights included with each card) will last until the end. year 2024.

Go Accor .’s ALL Plus registration page to join the program and use the code “ibis2023” or “Voyageur2023” at checkout, depending on the card you want (Discount details here).

What is ALL Plus?

In particular, ALL Plus Ibis cardholders receive a 15% discount on the lowest direct listed price at Accor’s Ibis economy-class hotel chain. But ALL Plus Voyageur cardholders get 20% off Accor’s 10 luxury and premium hotel brands, as well as 15% off the company’s 9 mid-range and economy brands.

Brands participating in ALL Plus Voyageur include:

  • Luxurious: Sofitel, SO/ and Sofitel Legend.
  • Reward: MGallery, 21C Museum Hotels, Mondrian, Pullman, Movenpick, Grand Mercure and The Sebel.
  • midrange: Novotel, Mercure, Adagio and Tribe.
  • Economy: Ibis Styles, Ibis, Ibis Budget, Greet and Adagio Access

I jokingly call Accor the Kylie Minogue of the hotel orbit—big everywhere but the United States. However, there are many options for domestic US travelers to take advantage of the program, including stays at Sofitel, 21C Museum Hotels and Mondrian. There is a smaller presence of MGallery and Novotel hotels here (although both have additional facilities in Canada and Mexico).

This is also a great option for travelers going abroad this summer.

Sofitel Mexico City Reforma opened just before the pandemic and is the premier hotel in North America. The Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City opened in March and is an important step forward for Panama’s luxury hotel scene. SO/Paris, which opened last summer, is already one of the trendiest hotels in France.

How to make ALL Plus go further

Opponents can point to the fact that only 19 of Accor’s more than 40 brands participate in ALL Plus. Some of the company’s most popular services – like Fairmont, Raffles and The Hoxton – don’t participate. But there are ways to benefit from Accor’s broader network.

Unlike other subscription models, such as IHG Intercontinental Ambassador Program, or status-matching programs, ALL Plus will give members qualifying nights. This is why Accor defines it as a loyalty accelerator. Any loyalty status earned through ALL Plus applies to all Accor brands, including those that aren’t on the subscription plan.

ALL Plus Voyageur members will receive 20 qualifying nights, while ALL Ibis Plus members will receive 10.

This means that ALL Plus cardholders receive at least ALL Silver status in the subscription plan. Key ALL Silver benefits include priority check-in, welcome drinks and late check-out across the Accor network.

But you can buy both an ALL Plus card and unlock ALL Gold status thanks to a combination of 30 qualifying nights from ALL Plus Voyageur and ALL Plus Ibis. ALL Gold status includes all Silver benefits plus room upgrades and early check-in.

Members with a higher ALL loyalty level can use those nights to advance to a higher level. (ALL Platinum requires 60 qualifying nights and comes with suite upgrades, hotel lounge access, and premium Wi-Fi.)

An Accor spokesperson told TPG that any status achieved through the ALL Plus card will last until the end of 2024. Keep in mind that the ALL Plus-specific discounts only last for 12 months after you buy a subscription for the first time.

It’s worth it?

New discount rates for ALL Plus cards mean they pay themselves out faster and start saving you money.

Rooms at SO/Paris start at $804 a night for a three-night stay the last weekend of June. With the ALL Plus Voyageur card, it costs $643 a night and translates to $483 in savings during your stay—much more than $175 for the card discount.

Closer to home, rooms at the Sofitel New York start at $410 a night on the same long weekend. That goes up to $328 a night with ALL Plus Voyageur—a saving of $246 over your entire stay.

I’ve found stays using the ALL Plus Voyageur card at 21C Museum Hotels across the US in locations like Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis and even Bentonville, Arkansas, has paid for itself after just two or three nights (depending on the weekend) this summer.

Even if you don’t stay at the Accor every night, it’s a pretty easy way to enjoy the company’s loyalty program and enjoy a few deals on your next trip.
