Do you know Eggdog? Weird meme originated from a video of a white-haired dog being groomed, but at a particular angle, the dog looks like an egg with a face. And thus, Eggdog was born.
From Eggdog lore came a bunch of new memes, and one of Eggdog’s main memes was zamsire, who used 3D rendering of ovoid fangs (credit: Derpy Hooves) to create this glorious work of art:
Three years later, zamsire has expanded into Eggdog Goodsincludes pins, plus signs, mugs and t-shirts, and most recently, scored a one-of-a-kind, custom Nintendo 3DS emblazoned in the Eggdog Kingdom.
It’s hard to get nice (or non-custom!) custom masks for today’s 3DS, which is perhaps not surprising – the 3DS is pretty old anyway – but zamsire went through Etsy to get it. get these masks, especially from a Place called EpicPALdesigns.
“[EpicPALdesigns] is the only service left that I can find for the New 3DS mask anymore), “zamsire told us via Twitter DM.” I decided to do it after hearing that the eShop was closing next year – so I wanted a really nice customization of one of my favorite handheld consoles! “
As for the internals – the Eggdog theme and the Eggdog game – here’s how they did it:
Custom theme made through 3DS homebrew. I used a 3DS app called Anemone Themes and the “eggdog game” it showed was done with a piece of software called Ultimate GBA VC injector allows me to enter a custom logo and name for the game “eggdog by zamsire” on the desktop (when you load it it just loads up a black screen) but it looks great on the pic.
Zamsire has similar feelings to us However, when it comes to how hard it is to customize your console: “I hope Nintendo brings changeable glass panels and more customization to future consoles and people have can be inspired to customize any more “old” technology they have!
