The Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday released updated list of nearly 1,000 Americans banned permanently from entering the country, a symbolic slap in response to harsh sanctions imposed by Western countries for their brutal invasion of Ukraine in February .
Biden has since mid-March been barred from visiting Russia, as are Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
But the updated list now includes Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as Biden’s scandalous son, Hunter Biden, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state and first lady.
Billionaire investor George Soros also made the list. Soros’ philanthropic support for liberal causes and groups within the former Soviet bloc, has made him a hit for both Russia and right-wing conspiracy theorists.
Trump is not on the list of 963 Americans banned. Over the years, Trump has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and criticized investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election that ended with Trump’s victory over Democratic rival Clinton. .
Trump was impeached in 2019 for withholding military aid to Ukraine intentionally appropriated by Congress while pressuring that country’s newly elected president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to announce investigations into Joe Biden, who at the time was the leading Democratic candidate for the White House.
Trump was acquitted after a trial in the Senate.
A spokesman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the fact that he was not on Russia’s travel ban list.
Former President Barack Obama and Trump’s Vice President, Mike Pence, are also not on the list, but Pence’s brother, Representative Greg Pence, R-Ind., is barred.
So are Greg Pence’s 211 Republican members in the House and Senate – along with 224 Democrats in both houses of Congress.
The GOP House members on the banned list include two hardline Republican Trump supporters, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Paul Gosar of Arizona.
Also on the list are two members of the House of Representatives whose strongly progressive policy views do not align with Trump World: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

In a statement carried by Russia’s state news agency RIA, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that “Russia’s retaliatory sanctions are coercive and are intended to force the US ruling regime to change its behavior.” behavior” and recognize “new geopolitical realities”.
