Rolex launches new models in 2023

Rolex

It’s that time of year when we finally get to see all the new releases from Rolex 2023 Watches & Wonders, the world’s largest watch show is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from March 27 to April 2. While nearly 50 watch brands announce their new products of the year at this event. , the Rolex watch brand is undoubtedly the watch maker that gets the most attention. So without further ado, here are some notable new Rolex releases at Watches & Wonders 2023.

New Rolex GMT-Master II in yellow gold and Rolesor gold

After a few years of absence, Rolex has brought yellow gold back to the GMT-Master II collection. There are two new models joining the 2023 Rolex releases: the GMT-Master II introduction in full yellow gold. 126718GRNR and the GMT-Master II in steel and yellow gold ref. 126713GRNR.

Both of these latest GMT-Master II watches feature an unprecedented gray and black Cerachrom bezel on their 40 mm cases, complete with yellow gold 24-hour numerals. Rolex only offers a Jubilee bracelet option for this couple, however, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Oyster bracelet becomes an option in the near future.

Similar to the vast majority Rolex Sports Watch Models, these yellow GMT-Master II variants will be coveted by Rolex enthusiasts everywhere. They combine the classic aesthetic of the Rolex GMT with precious metals and a new colored bezel, and that is the recipe for success.

We spoke with Paul Altieri, Founder and CEO of Bob’s Watch to own some of these spectacular new Rolex models.

New generation Rolex Daytona

To mark the 60th Anniversary of the Daytona watch, Rolex introduced a whole new generation of watches with slightly updated cases and dials, along with a new movement. This new generation of Rolex Daytona models carries reference number 126xxx.

The Watches and Wonders 2023 Rolex Daytona watch retains the regular 40mm case size but the lugs are slightly wider and have new light reflectors on the lugs and case face. Plus, the Cerachrom bezels are now rimmed with metal rings that match the case.

“The new Rolex Daytona with the redesigned case and the new Caliber 4131 looks almost the same from the front and the open case back is great,” said Altieri. He continued, ‘It’s hard to improve on perfection so no surprises here. But it finally happened…… Rolex discontinued the hugely popular 116500LN Cosmograph Daytona for its 60th anniversary and replaced it with a new movement, case, and dial. Subtle changes to the dial but I like the steel bezel. The new reference number for the steel Daytona is 126500. Good luck getting the 116500 right now. Prices will skyrocket.’

New titanium Rolex Yacht-Master 42

Another prediction Rolex’s 2023 release is the brand new Yacht-Master 42 watch in titanium RLX. Titanium is the newest material in Rolex’s portfolio, having debuted last year in the Deepsea Challenger 50mm. That release got people talking about other potential Rolex titanium watches, and now it’s here as the Yacht-Master 42 ref. 226627.

The Yacht-Master 226627 42mm titanium case is fitted with a two-way matte black ceramic bezel with embossed numerals and markers. The dial is also black, where the usual Mercedes-style hands in the center point out luminous overlays around the periphery. Like all current Rolex watches with a date window, the date at 3 o’clock is magnified by a Cyclops lens mounted on a sapphire crystal.

“In my opinion, the Rolex Yacht Master 42m is the Showstopper,” said Altieri.
