She explained when I asked her what inspired this series in the first place. “You don’t need a celebrity body (or budget!) to recreate these looks.” As a firm believer that style should be accessible to everyone, I couldn’t agree more. She continued, “I’ve seen a lot of discussion on social media about women feeling like they can’t dress a certain way because they don’t have a smaller size — and it’s heartbreaking to see. I feel like I’ve lived my adult life between a size 10 and a size 16 and have never let my body stop me from being confident in what I wear.”
Of course, celebrity street style outfits are complicated (see pelvic cuts, extremely low hems, and see-through fabric) but Hoden has an eye on things she can recreate with pieces already in her own closet, rather than outfits based on super-specific shopping trends. Outfits from things you like Hailey Bieber, Elsa Hosk, and Emily Ratajkowski frequently appear on her channel as they tend to be best suited to her casual, minimalist, and male-inspired style.
