“I lost to the better man that night,” lightweight candidate Rolando Romero said after his fight with Gervonta Davis. “I feel like I did a good job supporting him with my stab… I was winning the match and I made a mistake and got caught. I will work hard to get back to the top with the goal of becoming a champion. Much respect to Tank and I wish him well. The kt Rolly show must go on. ” Romero lost to the man dubbed “The Tank” last Saturday night at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center. He gave Davis a real appreciation, but Davis proved to be too much, which Romero is now willing to say bluntly.

However, as Romero said, he was willing to move forward, which was a smart decision because he did, in fact, get Davis in trouble during their weekend game. Big, sly and tough, Romero knows how to be an effective and fun boxer. He may have a bright future ahead of him. Furthermore, Davis seems to be an exceptional warrior, one of the few to be found in a generation. Of course, Davis may not prove all that he seems to be, but at this point, the Baltimore native is a force to be reckoned with. Either way, there’s no shame Romero lost to Davis last Saturday.

“I will be ready to be back in the ring as soon as my name is called,” Romero continued. “I know I have achieved what it takes to be world champion, and sooner or later, I will achieve that goal. I’ve made a name for myself and now I can have those big fights with all the top fighters in the league. Haney, Garcia, Kambosos, I want to fight them all. At some point, I’m going to want a rematch with the Tank, but I know I’ll have to try to get back into that position. ”

Of course, Romero is right. He really has to work really hard to get a chance to face Davis again. However, the light scene at this time is very interesting and crowded. As Romero pointed out, there are a lot of big names out there. It would be foolish to abbreviate a flashy Romero. The sport of boxing is too unpredictable (in a good way) for the media or the public to dismiss any boxer on the basis of a single loss, especially when that loss comes in the palm of your hand. gloves of someone like Tank Davis.
