Ricky Martin files $20 million lawsuit against his nephew following sexual abuse allegations (Update)

Back in July, Latin star Ricky Martin faces sexual abuse charges from his own nephew, after allegedly the two had sex. In the end, Ricky won the lawsuit against his nephew, after the injunction filed was withdrawn. Ricky has now filed a $20 million lawsuit against his nephew following the allegations.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Ricky filed a lawsuit against his nephew Dennis Yadiel Sanchez Martin on Wednesday in San Juan after he said his nephew was trying to “assassinate” his reputation. Ricky claimed that after the ban was withdrawn, Dennis began messaging him on Instagram threatening to “assassinate his reputation and integrity” unless he delivered some money.

Ricky claims that before the ban, Dennis bragged about being his grandson and that he used to send him multiple texts over the course of 4 months. Ricky stated that it was clear that the messages were created by a “misdirected individual”. Things are said to continue to get worse, as Ricky claims Dennis posted his phone number on social media and even created an Instagram account for one of his children.

Ricky said he’s lost a lot due to Dennis’ false accusations, and now he wants at least $20 million to make up for what he’s lost. He went on to share that Dennis has made him and his family feel “unsafe” in Puerto Rico, and he is asking the judge to declare that Dennis has not contacted him and his family.

Like before reported, in July, Dennis dropped the charges against Ricky after accusing him of sexual abuse and harassment, and withdrew the restraining order he had filed against the male singer.
