Brianne Howey isn’t just playing a mom on TV anymore — she’s also a real-life mom now. On June 18, the “Ginny & Georgia” star revealed on Instagram that she and her husband, Matt Ziering, welcomed their first child together.
Howey announced the news by sharing a photo of herself smiling in a hospital bed with her newborn baby resting on her chest. She and Ziering have yet to share the baby’s name. “My whole world just got so much sweeter,” she captioned her post. “And even smaller. Welcome my little love.”
The actor’s comments section quickly received well wishes from her “Ginny & Georgia” family, including her on-screen daughter, Antonia Gentry. “Oh my god, congratulations,” Gentry wrote. Sara Waisglass, who plays Max on the show, added, “sobbing. Congratulations mom!!!” And Waisglass’s on-screen twin, Felix Mallard, chimed in, “Congratulations both of you!!!!!”
Even Diesel La Torraca, who plays Georgia’s young son, Austin, commented. “Our smallest peach is HERE!!!!” he wrote. “I love you mom, well done!!!”
Howey first announced that she was pregnant in a March post on Instagram. The 34-year-old showed off her growing pregnant belly before heading to the Hugo Boss fashion show. “@boss showing with my new forever +1,” she captioned the photo.
The actor and Ziering, a lawyer, got married in July 2021. Although Howey tends to keep her family life largely private, she shared how she met husband in a 2021 interview with Los Angeles Magazine. “We ran into each other three nights in a row at a couple of bars in LA,” she revealed. Five years later, they were all set to get married when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020.
