When I was in college, I somehow understood in my head that I needed a signature scent. Until then, I’m still wearing Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease, unless I steal my mom’s perfume bottle before a big event. But I want to find one the smell that people will remember me bythat people will smell and immediately think of me.
I went to Sephora and did a fragrance test. I know I don’t want anything too floral or sweet. I have never liked sugary or floral scents. I wanted something dark, spicy and different. My test is back with a fragrance that suits me best: Tom Ford Black Orchid. I smelled it and immediately sold.
I put the babysitting money together for my first bottle, and even now I have an impressively large sum of money. perfume collection, I always find myself going back to the Black Orchid. I’ve been using scents exclusively for a few years, and I’m sure if you asked anyone who knew me between 2015 and 2019, they would instantly recognize it as my signature. me, as I originally intended.
Black Orchid was born from Tom Fordquest to find “the perfect flower.” It wasn’t a typical orchid scent – the black orchids were rare and enchanting. (If you have read The Orchid Thiefyou know how special orchids can be.) In the wild, no orchids are truly black, but some are dark enough to look almost black, and they are hard to find.
