Available for L, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony E mounts, this lens fits pretty much every popular full-frame mirrorless mount, and at $567 it has an attractive price tag. The coolest feature, of course, is the 2x magnification, which puts it ahead of many popular macro options, making it a pretty compelling creative tool. But with a nice focal length for a wide range of applications, sharp rendering, and beautiful bokeh, this lens can cover more than just macro subjects, making it a good value. and is the kind of equipment that everyone from portrait photographers to weddings should use look at. One downside, of course, is the lack of autofocus, but as long as you’re not shooting fast action, the powerful manual focus tools of modern mirrorless cameras should make your job easier.
