Rev. Jesse Jackson hospitalized after fall in Washington, D.C.
Civil rights chief and two-time presidential candidate Rev. Jesse Jackson was hospitalized Monday night time after falling at Howard College, the establishment mentioned.
“Household, he is resting comfortably & doing effectively,” daughter Santita Jackson tweeted.
Frank Watkins, public coverage director of Jackson’s Rainbow Push Coalition, mentioned the 80-year-old was supporting college students in Washington, D.C. who had raised considerations about dwelling circumstances at campus dorms when he fell and struck his head, NBC Washington reported.
Watkins mentioned Jackson was taken to Howard College Hospital, the place a CT scan indicated no inner damage. Jackson can be stored in a single day as a precaution, he mentioned.
Whereas on campus, Jackson met with college President Wayne A. I. Frederick, the administrator tweeted. He was on the Blackburn Heart, a scholar exercise constructing when he fell, the college said.
Jackson, who has Parkinson’s illness, was hospitalized in August after contracting Covid-19. He recovered and has been making public appearances.
