Back and forth Bayonetta 3 and the compensation for playing Bayonetta becomes more complicated. A report by journalist Jason Schreier published year Bloomberg suggested that PlatinumGames recommended Hellena Taylor, star of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2significantly more to voice the sequel than Taylor claimed in her complaints last week.
Citing unnamed sources familiar with the negotiations and documents reviewed by BloombergSchreier said that PlatinumGames has been looking to reposition Taylor to voice Bayonetta for Bayonetta 3 for at least five sessions ranging from $3,000 to $4,000 USD per session. This would bring Taylor’s total minimum compensation to about $15,000. Meanwhile, the sources Talking to VGC endorsed the offer, although they suggested there could be “at least four sessions”. Taylor is said to have turned down the offer, and instead demanded “a six-figure sum” and the rest – royalties paid to people working on TV shows and movies (usually actors) when a work is rerun, syndicated or released home video. Negotiations followed and ultimately fell through, with PlatinumGames choosing to reprise the role.
