Renault Captur 2024: Small SUV shines


Mid-life update for Renault Captur 2024 were scout tested, wearing heavy camouflage.

Camouflage can be seen on the front bumper, grille and bonnet as well as the entire rear end including the rear passenger door.

The updated Captur seems to borrow some design elements from the new version Renault Australia Not currently available in Australia.

Under the camouflage, the prototype looks to receive a slimmer headlamp design with new daytime running lights as well as a redesigned front bumper.

The new Renault logo design is expected to appear on the Captur as well, based on the styling of its larger brother, the Austral.

The bonnet may have changes based on the camouflage, but it looks similar to the current car.

There’s a front-facing camera under the grille that suggests this is the higher-spec variant.

At the rear, the taillights seem to be slimmer. The Captur may have Austral-like light bars that stretch across much of the rear door, only subdivided by the Renault badging.

On the other hand, the tailgate looks similar overall.

It is unclear whether the interior will receive any changes.

Renault now offers a choice of 7.0-inch and 9.3-inch touchscreen infotainment systems, as well as instrument cluster setups ranging from a small 4.2-inch screen to a full 10.25-inch display. .

It is possible that Renault’s latest infotainment system, Android Automotive-based OpenR, will be included in the Captur upgrade.
