Reaching a record, electric car sales in Norway near 80% by 2022
Nearly four out of five new cars sold in Norway last year were battery-powered, with Tesla being the top-selling brand for the second year in a row, registration data showed Monday.
Looking to become the first country to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2025, oil-producing Norway has so far completely exempted battery-powered vehicles tram (BEV) from the imposition of taxes on competitors using internal combustion engines (ICE).
