Apple CEO Tim Cook will greet customers at the Apple Store in Delhi tomorrow


Apple CEO Tim Cook will greet customers at the inauguration of the iconic iPhone maker’s first official store in the national capital at Select Citywalk Mall on Thursday, according to sources.

Tim Cook is in Delhi, scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra ModiUnion Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Electronics and IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar during his visit, they said.

Cook on Tuesday opened the first official Apple store in India at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai.

Wearing a black T-shirt and gray pants, along with the company’s senior vice president of retail Deirdre O’Brien, Cook opened the store and then began welcoming customers into the store.

“He’s in Deli and will be welcoming customers at the Apple Saket store,” a source told PTI.

Apple on Wednesday previewed the new store, Apple Saket at the Select Citywalk Mall here.

The barrier for Apple Saket has a unique design inspired by the many city gates of Delhi. However, the Saket store is smaller than the Apple Store opened at Jio World Drive at Bandra Kurla Complex.

“We are delighted to bring the best of Apple products to our customers in Delhi with the opening of our second store in India, Apple Saket,” said Deirdre O’Brien.

The company has more than 70 highly skilled retail team members at Apple Saket Store from a total of 18 Indian states and speaking more than 15 languages.
