The world’s largest collection of Pokémon is estimated to sell for up to £300k at auction later this month
The largest Pokémon-themed collection in the world – featuring video games, trading cards, luxury items and more – is said to be up for auction.
An “anonymous” woman from Hertfordshire, England will auction more than 20,000 items as a “single lot” later this month on October 18. A local auction company believes the collection could top £300,000 (about $340,000).
The seller said she parted ways with the collection for “financial reasons,” but intends to purchase some sentimental items. The Guinness World Records certificate accompanying the collection will be on display at a popular culture exhibition at the Hertford Museum.
Although it is not clear who the exact seller is, more than a decade ago, a British pocket monster fan made headlines after becoming the biggest collector of Pokémon. Huh…
