Random: Donkey Kong’s birthplace shows that he can enjoy a cup of tea
Donkey Kong has been a mainstay in the Mario series for a long time. The name was first given to the devastating ape in the original Donkey Kong arcade game (who we know as Cranky Kong), but the Donkey Kong we know and love is the son of Donkey Kong Jr.
This dashing tie-wearing ape has been around since the Rareware era Donkey Kong Country, and he’s fought the Kremlings, defended the bananas, and played some sports with his grandfather’s opponents occasionally since. But it seems that DK’s family also enjoys a trip.
In an officially licensed workbook from the fast-food chain Burger King and Nintendo from 2002, the curious question of where Donkey Kong was born. The options may not be what you expect, and are much closer to home. But for us at Nintendo Life, Burger King and Nintendo point very near home is the birthplace of Donkey Kong.
