Rams 2022 draft picks: Full list of Los Angeles picks for 2022 NFL Draft after Matthew Stafford, Von Miller trade
The Rams have been very active in their efforts to improve their team under general manager Les Snead. In fact, they are mortgaging a bit of their future to do so.
Los Angeles is entering its fifth year in a row without a first pick. The team has traded their first pick for a veteran in every draft since 2018, and they won’t plan to hold another first pick until 2024 – unless they trade for a turn. choose.

The Rams are currently only available three times choose draft in 2022 after the finishing and processing they have done over the past year.
Los Angeles sacrificed the 2022 first-round draft selection as part of the Matthew Stafford deal. They also sacrificed their second and third picks in the trade to get Von Miller.
Unlimited trading in options during the first two days of the draft. The Rams also sent fourth-round picks to the Texans as part of the Brandin Cooks deal while sending sixth-round picks to the Patriots to Sony Michel.
Here are the picks the team officially owns in the 2022 NFL Draft.

It looks like the Rams won’t pick until the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but offset picks will certainly change that.

Rams . Potential Compensation Options
The NFL awards compensation options to its clubs depending on free-agent losses they had to deal with last season. The bigger the contract, the higher the pick. So the Rams’ loss of free agents in 2021 will lead to the gain of the 2022 NFL Draft selections.
The same goes for the hiring of Brad Holmes as general manager of the Lions. The NFL added a bonus program for teams with a minority head coach or general manager hired from their team with a third-round compensation pick. That game is set up in stone, so technically the Rams have four solid draft picks, the earliest of which will come late in the third round.
Other compensation options have yet to be awarded, but the Rams can receive up to four, excluding options awarded for hiring Holmes. According to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, the Rams are expected to receive a total of five compensatory picks because they lost.
Here are Zierlein’s forecasts:

- Fourth round selection (via Browns signing with John Johnson)
- Selection in the sixth round (through 49 Samson Ebukam signers)
- Sixth round pick (via Seahawks signing Gerald Everett)
- Sixth round selection (via Browns signing Troy Hill)
Save for Holmes, these picks aren’t guaranteed to land at these spots, but the point is that the Rams seem willing to benefit a lot from the compensating picks. That will replenish their draft stock and will give them a chance at eight picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
