October 5, 2022, marks the 20th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Today, 20 years since the first episode of the anime aired in Japan, Sunrise updated the title of official website with a new look. It also announced plans to release a commemorative book series and a radio show featuring one of the series’ characters, Yzak Joule.
Yzak Joule was one of the ZAFT soldiers who stole the Gundam Type Mobile Suit at Helicopter during the show’s starting segments. The character’s Japanese voice actor, Tomokazu Seki, will host the radio show. He will discuss the show 20s with other guests and read fan letters.
In addition, Sunrise will release a official book series 20th anniversary Gundam SEED. The set will include the “Freedom” fan book, with more than 250 pages of illustrations, and a brochure on the establishment of “Justice,” with more than 100 pages of background descriptions and commentary.
