Now, in the third free item giveaway, it offers a Lizalfos tail and a Traveler Sword to “fly enemies into shape”. Yes, during this item crafting session you will create a temporary whip for Link. Here’s how to redeem the required items:

1. On your Switch Home Menu, select the ‘News’ icon
2. Scroll to the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom newsletter “Smash enemies into shape!”
3. Click ‘Play Now’ in the article
4. Start Zelda, load your game files
5. “Get the Lizalfos Tail and the Sword Traveler”
Nintendo even shared some details about the possible basic properties of the whip:
“After defeating Lizalfos, you can sometimes find its tail, ready to be picked up. And you know what? If you merge it with a weapon, it creates a temporary whip, which stretches out when you swing it and then retracts again! It’s a really useful tool, allowing you to hit enemies from a safe distance.
“And here’s one more thing – if the tail you use belongs to a Lizalfos with Fire or Electric Breath, the weapon will retain the original’s elemental properties, allowing you to whip with fire, sparks, etc!”
