The next month, The story of Symphonia back to the Nintendo console when Tales of Symphonia Remastered launches on Switch (and other platforms) on February 17th. Ahead of that date, Bandai Namco and Nintendo shared a gameplay trailer to help beginners catch up on what to expect and keep those who are just starting out. Longtime fans are excited to return to the classic GameCube game.
The new trailer will be familiar to those who played the original game on the GameCube back in 2003. There are several sequences in the game—from exploring towns to delving into dungeons (and yes, RPG fans, there’s a dungeon in it). But the big focus of the trailer, understandably, is the game’s action battle.
The battle known as the Multi-Linear Motion Combat System—from which the name sounds scary—puts the characters into a 3D environment (the first series for the series). fairy tales in 2003) and allow them to run towards and away from the enemy, or change their aim to move in a different direction, towards a different enemy. But the game’s unique mechanic is the Unison Attack, which allows you and another party member to launch a devastating attack.

We’re hopeful that Symphonia will be the next game in a long string of Tales remakes—but Bandai Namco has yet to promise to return to other games in the series and simply says “we I am waiting for your suggestion”.
